Refund Policy

Last updated 9 August 2026

This page explains how refunds work when you buy WQ Points or Premium. It restates section 7 of our Terms of Service, which is the binding version if the two ever differ.

Where you bought it decides who refunds you

WordQuest sells the same items in two places, and they are handled by different companies.

  • On our website — the purchase is handled by our payment provider, who is named on the checkout page before you pay. Contact us and we will deal with it.
  • In the iOS or Android app — Apple or Google is the seller for that transaction. Refunds are handled by them under their own policies, not by us. We are happy to help you make the request, but we cannot issue those refunds ourselves.

Your 14-day right to withdraw, and its exception

For purchases made on our website, EU and Dutch consumer law normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. There is an important exception for digital content, and it applies here.

Because WQ Points and Premium are delivered to your account immediately, we ask you at checkout to expressly consent to that immediate delivery and to acknowledge that you therefore lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery begins. If you would rather keep that right, do not tick the box — simply do not complete the purchase.

If something goes wrong, you are still covered

Nothing above affects your legal rights if something we sold you is faulty, not delivered, or not as described. If WQ Points or Premium you paid for do not arrive in your account, contact us and we will fix it or refund it.

A subscription that you cancel stops at the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not refund the period already started, and deleting your WordQuest account does not cancel a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play — cancel that in your store account settings.

If a payment is reversed or charged back after we have already credited your account, we may remove the corresponding points or Premium time.

How to ask for a refund

Email hello@wordquest.gg from the address on your WordQuest account, and tell us what you bought and roughly when. You can also use our support page. We aim to reply within a few working days.
